This is how our adventure started, but we still did not know “Our” adventure would have started then. I wanted to bring my sister to do a surf trip on our old Rusty, the name of our rusty Volkswagen t5, so without thinking I asked Ludovica if she wanted to come with us. It took me one minute to convince her, I was not surprised: salt and water is her daily life and only speaking about waves makes Ludo’s eyes shining.
Ah yes, she will surf really nice way, not like me and my sister that we are going to get spinned and washed out every session.
The team is ready: 8 hours drive, pilote, co-pilote and the sleeper. We leave from Finale Ligure direction: Hossegor. We decided to leave late so to use the night for travelling and enjoy the full day there. The drive is long so after a while we stop for some rest. After one our sleep we start driving again: it is me,Ludo and a beautiful sunrise arising on a beautiful landscape that keep changing around us. This amazing view make us think how lucky and grateful we are to have this life and to be able to enjoy it at the fullest, appreciating the little things.
It is from this thought that started to take form the idea of Namastribe.
We still have a few hundreds kms ahead and we start talking about why people think we are lucky to live this life and then do nothing to try change things in their life. It is a choice that requires sacrifices and waivers.
Both of us have received many messages from friends and friends of friends, who says that they would love to try a van trip or that sport. People who would love to come with us during our adventures. They ask us the reason for our wild trips, there is the person who does not have the motivation to try something new, or whose do not have the right company to go with, and so on..
Do you know why we are lucky?
Because we give anything for granted, because we learn beauty is relative, we learnt to appreciate the place we live, we learnt that there are places famous for something but it doesn’t mean they can not be loved for something else.
We learnt being beginner is fun, we learnt to be curious, we learnt everyone has something to offer, we learnt to waive the comfort because are the little things that makes us happy.
Namastribe wants to bring together all the people that share these valued or want to try to live a simpler life. We want to unite whose feel to have a wild soul but they still do not know how to get it out and with who they could go to share this life experiences.
We are arrived, the ocean and the long wild beach are wonderful.
